Dieses Zitat beschreibt die Stadt besser als jeder Text. Prag hält einen fest. Ständig schwirren Gedanken von der Stadt durch meinen Kopf, auch jetzt noch, eine Woche später. Die engen düsteren Gassen, die man am besten bei Nacht durchstreift. Die roten Ziegeldächer, welche das Bild der Stadt prägen. Und die Unzahl architektonisch atemberaubender Gebäude. Prag hat mich begeistert und jeden Tag neu überrascht. Alt und majestätisch ist die tschechische Hauptstadt. Die Atmosphäre in der Metropole an der Moldau bewegt sich zwischen herrschaftlichem Prunk in den altehrwürdigen Cafes und Theatern und jungen, kreativen Ideen, die an die Oberfläche drängen und das Stadtbild verändern. So entsteht eine grandiose Mischung aus Eindrücken, die man so schnell nicht vergisst.

This quote describes Prague better than any other text. Prague holds on to you. I have to think about this city all the time. Constantly I have pictures on my mind even now a week after my trip. The narrow streets. The red tiled roofs, which are characteristic for the city. And the beautiful architecture. Prague excited me and took away my breath every day. The Czech capital is old an majestic. The atmosphere in the city is somewhere between the manorial pomp in the old fashioned cafes and the young creative ideas that pop up all over the city and define the city. The city has an atmosphere that you will never forget.

Essen: 

Wie auf jeder meiner Reisen war auch in Prag das Essen ein wichtiger Teil des Ganzen. Neue Restaurants und Cafes zu entdecken zeigt einem so viel über die Menschen und die Kultur einer Stadt. Ich liebe es lokale Köstlichkeiten und Geheimtipps zu entdecken und finde es deshalb unheimlich wichtig sich von den touristenüberlaufenen Straßen zu entfernen und auf eigene Faust die Stadtteile, wo sich die Einheimischen tummeln, zu entdecken.

Das Bistro No. 19  ist ein wunderbares, urbanes Bistro im Zentrum der Stadt, welches einem jeden Tag nur zwei Gerichte anbietet. Eines davon ist vegetarisch. Es ist ein sehr kleines verstecktes Bistro mit wunderschöner Einrichtung, das man sich unbedingt anschauen sollte. Komplett unterschiedlich zeigt sich das Cafe Savoy . Es ist ein altehrwürdiges Cafe mit bezaubernden hohen Decken und Torten und Gebäck zum Verlieben. Man fühlt sich wie in der Zeit zurück versetzt und möchte gerne verweilen in dieser bezaubernden Atmosphäre. Ein anderes tolles Cafe ist die Cafe Lounge, welche sich nur ein paar Straßen vom Cafe Savoy entfernt befindet. Die Cafe Lounge war von den ganzen Cafes mein Liebling, denn dort waren die Kellner unheimlich freundlich und außerdem gibt es die besten Getränke, um sich nach einem Spaziergang im kalten, nebligen Herbst-Prag wieder aufzuwärmen. MeinFavorit ist die heiße Zitrone. ein grandioser Drink aus Orangen, Zitronen,Limettensaft und Gewürzen. Falls ihr Vegetarier seid und ein grandioses vegetarisches Restaurant sucht müsst ihr zum  Estrella. Das Essen dort war einfach genial und ich hoffe , dass ich bald wieder zurückkommen kann. Vielleicht braucht ihr nach dem Essen auch noch einen Kaffee, wenn das der Fall ist, solltet ihr zur EMA espresso bar. Das Cafe mit Skandinavischem Interieur bietet eine große Auswahl an Kaffeespezialitäten für jeden.Und noch ein letzter Tipp: Das Restaurant Cukrkavalimonada  dort gibt es unglaublich gute Limonaden und Salate. Man sieht Prag ist eine Stadt für Genießer, die ich jedem unbedingt ans Herz legen möchte.

To Do

Das allerwichtigste To Do ist es meiner Meinung nach die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden. Man entdeckt jeden Tag etwas neues und die ganzen Kirchen und Gebäude rauben einem den Atem. Besonders im Herbst ist die Stadt ein Schmuckstück, die Nebelschwaden und die frühen Sonnenuntergänge verleihen der Stadt eine magische Atmosphäre. Ein Tipp der für das Budget besonders gut ist, ist es mit der Tram Nummer 22 einmal quer durch die Stadt zu fahren, man sieht so viel von der Architektur und auch von den Randgebieten und das alles im Preis des Tickets für die Öffis mit einbegriffen. Auch von der Moldau aus kann man die großartige Stimmung in der Stadt wunderbar einsaugen, denn auch die Bootsfahrten sind sehr günstig und empfehlenswert. Unbedingt solltet ihr auch den Schlossberg von Prag erkunden, denn von dort hat man die beste Aussicht über die wunderschöne Stadt.

Shopping 

Prag ist nicht die Shopping-Metropole schlechthin, deshalb habe ich auch nicht besonders viel eingekauft. Trotzdem hier ein paar nette Tipps. Das Ingredients ist ein wunderschöner kleiner Parfümladen, nahe der Pariser Straße. Für gewöhnlich bin ich kein großer Parfümkäufer. Im Urlaub war es aber sehr nett sich einmal beraten zu lassen und die ganzen Düfte auszuprobieren. Ich habe am Ende dann sogar ein Parfüm gekauft, in das ich mich unheimlich verliebt habe. Es ist aber auch sehr schön sich einfach nur ein bisschen durch die Düfte zu riechen, ohne etwas zu kaufen.  Ein anderer sehr Schöner Shop in dem ich ,mir auch nichts leisten konnte ist der  Material Glas Shop. Dort gibt es wunderschönes Tschechisches Glas, welches man sich einfach nur anschauen kann, weil es so schön ist. Außerdem gibt es in Prag auch noch tolle Flohmärkte. Ich habe es zwar nicht geschafft einen zu besuchen, es schwärmen jedoch viele Leute von den tollen Schätzen, die man dort finden kann.

EN:

Food:

A big part of our trip to Prague was food. Exploring different restaurants and cafes tells you so much about a city. Getting to know the local food and the culture of a country is something I love and because of that I consider it to be very important to leave the very touristy parts of the city and start exploring the districts where locals are because in that way you see the real personality of the city.

Bistro No. 19  is a real urban bistro in the center of Prague. They only have two dishes on the menu every day; one of them is vegetarian. It is a very small bistro with really cool interior that you definitely have to check out. In contrast to that the Cafe Savoy is a very traditional cafe but also worth a visit. The high ceiling and the delicious pastries create a feeling like in former times. Another amazing cafe is the Cafe Lounge which is located just two streets next to Cafe Savoy. This was actually my favorite cafe because they have really friendly waiters and the best hot drinks to warm up yourself after walking through the cold, foggy  autumn days in Prague. My recommendation is the hot lemon which consists of lemon, orange, lime juice and spices. If you are looking for an all vegetarian place to savor your lunch or dinner you have to visit Estrella. I loved the food there and I hope I can come back soon. After eating you might need a coffee and for that you should head to the EMA espresso bar it is a cafe with gorgeous minimalistic Scandinavian interior. An one last tip is the Cukrkavalimonada restaurant which offers amazing lemonades and salads. You see Prague is a city for gourmets and I would recommend that you visit the city as soon as possible because it is just amazing.

Must Do

The only must do I can tell you is: walk through the city as much as you can. It is so breathtaking how beautiful the architecture is. The narrow streets and all the beautiful churches are especially marvelous in autumn if you ask me because the fog and the early sunset give the city a very mystic vibe. Another great thing to do is to go on a city tour with the Tram number 22 if you have a public transport ticket this is a very cheap way to see a lot of the city because the tram goes from one end of the city to the other. Another way to absorb all of the magnificent impressions the city gives is to go on a boat trip on the Vltava. Another great thing that you have to do is to walk up to the castle of Prague for the most amazing view over the city.

Shopping 

I didn’t do a lot of shopping in Prague because there are much better things to do there and Prague is just not such a fashion city. But anyway here are some tips. If you want buy some great perfume go to ingredients. It is a high end perfume store. I actually never buy expensive fragrances but it was a lot of fun to smell all of the different fragrances and get some guidance from the shop assistant. I actually ended up buying a perfume because I fell in love with the scent. But it’s not a must to buy something there. Another amazing shop is the Material glass store where you can buy Czech glass but it is also very expensive and I just went there to have a look at the beautiful collection. I also heard that Prague has some amazing flea markets but unfortunately didn’t manage to visit one of them because I was only there for three days but maybe I will do this the next time I come to Prague, because there will definitely be a next time.
